Earlier this week, we previewed the Founders League boys season, which looks like it’ll be a continuation of that league’s historical standing as the NEPSAC’s power conference.
Now it’s time to cover the league often compared to the Founders — the Independent School League.
Noble & Greenough’s run to the 2025 Class A final — in the program’s first season as a Class A school — was a feather in the cap for the ISL. But Nobles fell to Founders power Taft in the title game, the same fate Milton Academy, arguably the ISL’s strongest boys’ soccer program, suffered a year earlier. So, can an ISL school return to the NEPSAC mountaintop?
That’s what we’re here to examine in the latest story in our league preview series. The ISL is massive — who are the preseason favorites to win the league’s title? What about sleeper teams you shouldn’t ignore? Who are the conference’s best players, and how do we think the league table might look come the end of the season?
